A 19-yr-aged male was shot and wounded throughout a fistfight amongst two teams of youngsters at a West Facet intersection, police explained this morning.
The capturing transpired at about 9:45 p.m. Sunday in the vicinity of the intersection of Kedzie Avenue and Roosevelt Road, police said.
Two teams of younger individuals -- 1 from north Chicharito Jersey of Roosevelt Road and yet another from the south -- quarreled and ultimately traded blows in the occupied intersection, according to authorities.
A single of the combatants pulled a handgun and fired into the crowd, striking the victim two times, police explained, citing early reports.
No other injuries have been noted.
The victim, who was struck in the arm and in the buttocks, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital for non existence-threatening accidents, police stated.
Although 1 early report said that the target informed police he was hoping to break up the melee, a police supply indicated the victim was truly taking part in the combat.
Police failed to have a description of the gunman and hadn't created any arrests as Harrison Area detectives continued their investigation.
